Let the World Cup Party Begin!

days away from the party of a lifetime. Thirty-two teams will contest the 2010
FIFA World Cup. And many nations more will be watching the games joyfully.
The signs are there for all to see – the millions of flags,
the enormous World Cup-themed murals draped around buildings and people wearing
football shirts in their national colours.

Success deserves Reward...
... thought our Executive Management headed by Thomas Brönner, CEO of G.I.S. AG and Tanja Olbort, Managing Director of M.E.D. GmbH. The beginning of last quarter already showed that our company objectives have been or will be met well ahead of schedule. Such pleasant development was generously rewarded with an unusual trip to Ronneburg, a medieval fortress in beautiful Hesse. Our staff dazzled at beautiful birds of prey during a very impressive falconer show. 500.000 is a large number? You Bet!

We consciously decided to choose a different Notified Body who was not yet familiar with our quality management. This very detailed examination of our procedures confirmed our high-level quality of products and services.The new certificates will be available for download in May.

Participation at the ESCRS (European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeions) Congress in Stockholm.
ESCRS is Europe`s leading organisation for cataract and refractive surgeons. The society was founded in 1991 and has 4,000 members from 90 different countries world wide. Topics at the congress were i.e. the surgical correction of presbyopia, glaucoma, cataract, corneal ectasio, PRK, LASEK and LASIK as well as phako IOL and supra cataract surgeries.
M.E.D. Medical Products GmbH received a lot of attention again this year. We had the opportunity to meet many of the people we work with and also establish new contacts within Scandinavia and eastern Europe. Our highlight was the signing of a new national distribution partner contract.
